  • Waiver & Rental Agreement Info
    Please E-Sign Waiver & Rental Agreement before the day of Rental. You will receive a second email with a link to the online waiver system. The subject of this email reads; Action required for your booking. Please look out for this email. Each passenger in the party must complete a waiver and rental agreement before starting the Rental. (adults sign for minors) Unfortunately, we do not allow passengers on the boat who have not e-signed the required documents. The link received in the second email is sharable via Email and Text. Signing the Waiver & Rental Agreement online takes max. 5 minutes and can be done on the phone, iPad, computer, or any other device with access to the internet. To ensure a speedy check-in process on a rental day, we strongly recommend that all people in your party sign the required forms online before your Rental and arrival on-site.   • Boaters Safety Card Info
    Since 2023, each driver must own a Boating Safety Card per FWC Regulations, regardless of age and experience. If you do not have a Boaters Safety Card, you can take a temporary Boating Safety course online: Online Boating Safety Course
  • Other Important Safety Info
    The 20ft Pontoon Boat allows a max. of 8 people and/or 1200lbs. If you have above 8 people and/or 1200 lbs of total weight (ALL passengers + gear), you will not be allowed to take out the boat. The 23ft Pontoon Boat allows a max. of 10 people and/or 1500lbs. If you have above 10 people and/or 1500 lbs of total weight (ALL passengers + gear), you will not be allowed to take out the boat. We require basic knowledge of small boat operation and use. Florida Boat Rentals staff has the right to refuse the Rental when they do not feel confident and unsafe with the boating experience shown by the designated captain of the Rental. No tubing, wakeboarding, water skiing, towing, or wake surfing behind the boat. Boats are not allowed on the ocean. Boats cannot cruise further north of the Sebastian Inlet and South of the Fort Pierce Inlet. Life Jackets are required. You can find One life vest (PFD) per person (minimum) and one throwable PFD in the boat's seats. By Florida State Law, Children 8 years old and under must wear PFD at all times. You are responsible for having the equipment for children on board before you begin your Rental. Florida Boat Rentals does have life vests for kids 2 years and older at no additional cost. Please request this equipment at check-in.
  • Rules of Operation for Rental Watercraft and Equipment - Florida Boat Rentals
    No person other than the Main Charterer shall operate the subject rental watercraft unless such person is at least 21 years of age, has produced proof of identity, age, and a Florida Boating License if born in 1988 or after, satisfactory to F.B.R., and has obtained the written permission of F.B.R Charterer shall not operate the rental watercraft or allow any other person to operate the rental watercraft, while under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances. This is a recreational vessel that must be used with care. The Charterer is responsible for maintaining proper order on the vessel and will exercise caution at all times. The Charterer will follow our guidance and all rules as posted in Intracoastal Waterways. Charterer shall be restricted to operate the rental watercraft solely on the Inter-coastal Waterway. The Charterer is under no circumstances allowed to cruise the rental watercraft past the Inlet or on to the Ocean. The Rental Watercraft cannot cruise further north of the Sebastian Inlet and South of the Fort Pierce Inlet. Charterer will not allow passengers to ride forward on the front rail gate or the bow (front of the boat). This isn’t permitted by Florida State Law and can result in hefty fines by the U.S. Coast Guard. And if one falls off the front of the boat there is no escaping death by a propeller. Keep all gates closed when the motor is running. Charterer shall not tow any person or any towing device. And Charterer shall not allow any person to surf the wake of the rental watercraft. Charterer will not allow people to swim when the boat is in motion. At all times, never allow to swim near rear of the boat or around motor, the propeller will kill. Do not start the motor until everyone is out of the water, on the boat and within gates. Life Jackets are required. One life vest (PFD) per person (minimum) and one throwable PFD can be found in the seats of the boat. By Florida State Law, Children 8 years old and under must wear PFD at all times. It is your responsibility to have the equipment for children on board before you begin your rental. Florida Boat Rentals does have life vests for kids 2 years and older at no additional cost, please request this equipment at check in. Condition of the boat upon return; Charterer shall return the rental watercraft and equipment to F.B.R. on or before the termination date and time. In the same condition in which the boat was rented, including all parts, accessories, rigging, and condition of Seats and fiberglass, with ordinary wear and tear being acceptable.
  • Rules for Possible Additional Fees - Florida Boat Rentals
    Charterer will pay for all damages to and losses of rental watercraft and/or equipment during the term of this lease agreement. Smoking and Fires on the boat are not permitted. This includes grilling or cooking. Burns cannot be fixed; replacement of the seat may be needed and could cost up to $500. If the boat is returned after the agreed return time, a fee of $25.00 for every 15 minutes will apply, unless other arrangements are made. Please keep the boat clean and free of garbage and debris. DO NOT throw any garbage overboard and into the water. If the boat is returned excessively dirty or sandy there will be a $25 cleaning fee.
  • Terms and Conditions, Rental Agreement - Florida Boat Rentals
    Lessor, FLORIDA BOAT RENTALS or “F.B.R.” and Lessee (“Charterer”) named herein agree to the following terms and conditions as identified and set forth in this contract. Charterer represents to FLORIDA BOAT RENTALS that she/he is an adult 21years of age, or older and that all agreements between the parties as set forth in the rental contract, terms and conditions, and F.B.R. check-in/out form are binding. F.B.R. and Charterer understand and agree that the Terms and Conditions of the entire rental agreement are set forth on both sides of this instrument, as well as on the F.B.R. check-in/out form and, further, that the rental agreement, terms, and conditions of the rental agreement, and the F.B.R. check-in/out form constitute the entire agreement of the parties. No modification or amendment of the terms shall be made unless in writing and signed by all of the parties between F.B.R. and the Charterer and further that the headings used herein are solely for the convenience of the parties and shall not be construed otherwise. TERMS OF LIABILITY F.B.R. is not the manufacturer of the subject rental watercraft and has not made and does not make any representations, warranty or covenant express or implied, with respect to the condition, quality, durability or suitability of the rental watercraft. F.B.R. makes no express or implied warranties whatsoever with respect to the rental watercraft, including, but not limited to, those of merchantability, operation or fitness for a particular use of equipment, condition, design, quality, or capacity. There are no warranties except any expressly set forth in this contract. F.B.R. carries property and liability insurance for each rental watercraft solely for the benefit of F.B.R. and its officers and employees. F.B.R. provides no property or liability protection to the Charterer and his/her passengers. Charterer agrees and acknowledges that all third-party liability for property damage or bodily injury relating to the use and operation of the rental watercraft and/or equipment are the sole responsibility of the Charterer. Charterer knowingly and voluntarily releases and forever discharges Florida Boat Rentals, and all employees, independent contractors, officers and directors and their successors, heirs and assigns, from any and all liability, damages, claims and demands, whatsoever resulting from and through the use, permission, operation, and/or possession of the rental watercraft and/or equipment. including, but not limited to, damages for any and all personal injuries (including death) to Charterer, passengers, and/or third parties, as well as all property damage. Charterer agrees to assume all responsibility for all direct or indirect damages, including, but not limited to lost profits and revenue, resulting from Charterer's use and/or operation of the rental watercraft and further agrees to pay all costs assessed by Florida Boat Rentals immediately upon demand. In addition, F.B.R. and its insurance underwriters shall not be responsible or liable for accidents, injuries, or deaths due to or arising from recreational water sport activities such as fishing activities, swimming, use of snorkels, masks or other equipment such as scuba equipment, water-skis, fishing tackle and gear, whether or not it is provided by F.B.R. or the Charterer. CHARGES AND SECURITY DEPOSITS Charterer agrees to pay all fees, charges, and expenses attendant to and incidental to the use and operation of the rental watercraft during the charter period, including, but not limited to fuel, oil, pilotage, and port and docking fees. Charterer shall not contract with any party for the payment of such fees, charges and expenses in the name of F.B.R. Charterer shall not create and/or cause to be created any lien or encumbrance on the rental watercraft for any such fees, charges, and expenses. Charges for the use of the subject rental watercraft are payable at the time of the rental. Charges for all other costs and/or expenses are payable at the time that the Charterer returns the boat to F.B.R. Charterer shall deposit with F.B.R. a Security Deposit in the amount set forth herein and agrees that this deposit shall be applied to and guarantee the performance of Charterer's obligations under the contract and for all leases, services {including towing), and repairs necessary to the rental watercraft and/or equipment. The deposit may be made in the form of cash or credit card (Visa or MasterCard). F.B.R. shall provide Charterer with an inventory of equipment and supplies at the time of delivery, and the Charterer agrees and acknowledges by acceptance of delivery, that such inventory is correct and that he has inspected the subject rental watercraft and has found no defects or shortages in the inventory except those noted in writing at the lime of acceptance of delivery. Charterer shall be responsible for payment on inventory that may be found to be damaged and/or missing upon the return of the rental watercraft. All additional charges and/or expenses will be immediately deducted from the Security Deposit. In the event that the charges and expenses exceed the amount of the Security Deposit, the Charterer agrees to make payment immediately upon returning the rental watercraft to the place of rental. CONDITIONS OF DELIVERY Charterer shall inspect the rental watercraft and acceptance of the watercraft represents complete delivery of the rental watercraft. Charterer shall be responsible for all operation, maintenance, and other costs and charges incidental to the use of the rental watercraft during the time period that the rental watercraft remains in the Charterer's possession. OPERATION OF VESSEL Charterer herein certifies that she/he is at least twenty-one years of age and that she/he fully understands and is experienced in the navigation of the class of the subject rental watercraft herein chartered, as well as in the use of equipment provided. Charterer is aware that she/he is in need of a Florida Boating License if Charterer is born in 1988 or after. Charterer will at no time allow any person(s) to use, operate, or be carried in the rental watercraft without approved personal flotation devices being made available to each passenger. Charterer certifies that she/he has a basic knowledge of small boat operation and use and agrees that this rental is not contingent upon her/his specific experience with a prior watercraft. Charterer agrees to produce proof of identity, age and Florida Boating License, satisfactory to F.B.R. upon request. Charterer further certifies that she/he will at all times operate the rental watercraft in a reasonable and prudent manner, exercising due regard for other boats, wakes, navigational rules, and all other circumstances to prevent the endangerment of life, limb, or property of any person. Charterer further warrants that at all times while operating the rental watercraft, she/he shall follow and comply with the safety and navigation markers, signs, buoys, as well as all marked and posted operating restrictions such as speed, wakes, area access, and hazards. Charterer further agrees to hold Florida Boat Rentals harmless for any/all use and operation. Charterer warrants and agrees not to operate the boat and/or equipment while under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, barbiturates, drugs, marijuana, nor carry or transport same if possession is in violation of any federal or Florida Slate law. RENTAL TERM The agreed rental term of this contract is set forth in this contract. The Charterer agrees to return the rental watercraft and/or equipment by the date and time due as set forth in this contract. The failure of the Charterer to return the subject rental watercraft at the specified time may constitute an unauthorized taking, in which case the Charterer will be fully liable for all legal fees, costs and expenses, including, but not limited to consequential loss of potential rental income to F.B.R. and the replacement cost of the rental watercraft and/or equipment. DAMAGE OR LOSS OF RENTAL WATERCRAFT Charterer shall be responsible and agrees to pay F.B.R for any loss, damage, theft, disappearance, collision, or other occurrences to the boat and/or equipment and to reimburse F.B.R for any casualty regardless of the fault of any other party for the duration of the charter. Charterer further agrees to pay for towing, salvage, or other service and expenses caused to the rental watercraft and/or equipment resulting from any use of operation under this rental contract. In the event of peril, Florida Boat Rentals may make the decision to have the watercraft towed at its discretion. In the event of peril, the Charterer remains liable for all expenses incurred. These charges will be charged to the Charterer's credit card. In the event of an accident, Charterer shall notify F.B.R. immediately or as soon as possible thereafter. Charterer agrees that in the event of an accident, Charterer shall, as far as practicable without serious danger to the rental watercraft and/or equipment, render to other persons affected by such accident, such assistance as may be necessary to ensure such person's safety and to minimize danger and injury. To this extent, Charterer agrees to cooperate fully with all investigations conducted by F.B.R. and its designated representatives and any other governmental, regulatory, or law enforcement agency or department. REPAIRS TO THE RENTAL WATERCRAFT DURING THE PERIOD OF CHARTER Charterer shall make no repairs to the boat without the prior permission of F.B.R., unless such repairs constitute an emergency. Charterer agrees that, in the event that the rental watercraft sustains mechanical failure, not caused by any act of the Charterer, F.B.R. shall make a prorated return of charter fees for such period that exceed the first four hours of charter use, during which time the subject rental watercraft was disabled or unfit for use. RENTAL WATERCRAFT LIMITATIONS Charterer herein agrees, represents, and warrants the following: The operation of the rental watercraft shall be restricted to the hours of the day beginning with one (1) hour after sunrise to one {1) hour before sunset unless written permission is otherwise granted by F.B.R. The rental watercraft shall be used exclusively as a pleasure boat for the sole and proper use of Charterer, her/his family and guests. Charterer agrees not to transport merchandise or carry passengers for pay or engage in trade or any other commercial activity; and not to carry any contraband, weapons, documents, or drugs, and/or not to operate or cause to be operated the rental watercraft in such a manner that would involve risk of seizure, capture, detention, arrest, or repatriation of any government or law enforcement agency. No person other than the Charterer shall operate the subject rental watercraft unless such person is at least 21 years of age, has produced proof of identity, age, and if born in 1988 or after a Florida Boating License, satisfactory to F.B.R., and has obtained the written permission of F.B.R. Charterer shall not operate the rental watercraft or allow any other person to operate the rental watercraft, while under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances. Charterer shall not tow any person or any towing device, including, but not limited to water skis, wakeboards, tubes, kneeboards, etc., without the prior written permission of F.B.R. prior to the commencement of the rental period. At all times, Charterer agrees that no person may be towed unless there is at least one other person in the rental watercraft in addition to the operator. Charterer shall not allow any person to surf the wake of the rental watercraft. Charterer shall not operate the rental watercraft or manipulate any water skis or similar device in willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property at an excessive speed or in a manner likely to endanger the life or limb of any person or damage the property covered by this rental contract. Charterer shall not moor or fasten the boat to a lawfully placed aid to the navigation markers except in the case of emergency and shall not anchor, operate or permit to be anchored, except in the case of emergency, the rental watercraft in any manner which will constitute a navigational hazard to the free passage of other vessels in conformity with the rules of navigation. Charterer shall be restricted to operate the rental watercraft solely on the Intercoastal Waterway. The Charterer is under no circumstances allowed to cruise the rental watercraft past the Inlet or on to the Ocean. SUBLETTING AND ASSIGNMENT Charterer may not and shall not sublet or assign his interest in the subject rental watercraft without the prior written consent of F.B.R. FUELING Charterer does not need to return the boat with the same amount of fuel as when initially rented. The price paid for the rental watercraft includes fuel. PERMITS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND FINE Charterer shall obtain and pay for any required permits, licenses, and certifications excluding boat registration. Charterer agrees to operate the subject rental watercraft in accordance with all count state, and federal laws and boating regulations. Charterer agrees to be personally responsible for any fines incurred due to the violation of such laws or regulations or negligent operation of the rental watercraft. DISPUTES Any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to this contract, which cannot be settled by negotiation with 60 days after the date a formal claim or dispute is made in writing, shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with J.A.M.S./ENDISPUTE Arbitration Rules and Procedures. The costs of arbitration, including the fees and expenses of the Arbitrator, shall be at the expense of the Charterer, unless the arbitration award provides otherwise. Each party shall bear the cost of preparing and presenting its case. The Charterer and F.B.R. agree that this provision and the Arbitrator's authority to grant relief shall be subject to the United States Arbitration Act. 9 U.S.C. 1-15 et seq., except to the extent that any such provision or authority provides a power to grant punitive or exemplary damages or specific or injunctive relief, which power is hereby expressly prohibited, except as expressly contemplated by the terms of this contract. The Arbitrator's decision shall follow the plain meaning of the relevant documents and shall be final and binding. The award may be confirmed and enforced in any court of competent jurisdiction. The place of arbitration shall be Vero Beach, Florida. The governing law of this contract is Florida Law. NOTICE TO CHARTERS AND PASSENGERS: FLORIDA BOAT RENTALS MAINTAINS A ZERO-TOLERANCE COMPLIANCE POLITY. U.S. Law Enforcement Agencies have plenary power to stop any vessel in territorial and international waters for administrative searches. If contraband is found aboard, even in negligible quantities and even without the Charterer's or F.B.R. knowledge, THIS VESSEL CAN BE SEIZED AND FORFEITED TO THE U.S. GOVERNMENT. The U.S. Coast Guard is aggressively enforcing this policy. Therefore, NO PERSON shall bring contraband aboard this vessel. If a violation is discovered, the violator will be reported to the authorities. FLORIDA BOAT RENTALS is not responsible for any charges said thereof. Charterer is fully responsible for all fines, penalties, attorney's fees and costs incurred, including the full replacement value of the rental watercraft and equipment in the event of seizure and/or confinement by local, state, or federal authorities for any violation of local, state, or federal laws. I have read, understood, and agree to the terms and conditions of this contract made with Florida Boat Rentals, and herein called Lessor, and I understand that I am bound by these terms.
  • Waiver and Release of Liability - Florida Boat Rentals
    DISCLAIMER - This waiver and release agreement applies to all renters, operators, passengers, and users of equipment provided by FLORIDA BOAT RENTALS (For purposes of this Waiver and Release, the term "F.B.R." includes all principles, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, servants, assigns, successors, insurers and subsidiaries of Florida Boar Rentals). The Undersigned agrees that she/he is also signing this release on behalf of all operators, passengers, and users of the rental watercraft and equipment, including minor children. The Charterer agrees that she/he will disclose to F.B.R. all potential operators, passengers, and users of said rental equipment. Renter further agrees that if she/he fails to notify F.B.R. of all potential operators, passengers, or users of said equipment, she/he will be personally liable for any damages to the undisclosed individuals, even if such damages arise out of the negligence or fault of F.B.R. IN CONSIDERATION OF the risk of injury that exists while participating in RENTING A WATERCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT (ANY EQUIPMENT) (hereinafter the "Activity"); and IN CONSIDERATION OF the desire to participate in said Activity and being given the right to participate in same; I HEREBY, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, assigns, or personal representatives and for all passengers and users of the by me Rented Watercraft and equipment (hereinafter collectively, "Releasor," "I", "me" or "we", which terms shall also include Releasor's parents or guardian if Releasor is under 21 years of age), knowingly and voluntarily enter into this WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY and hereby waive any and all rights, claims or causes of action of any kind arising out of our participation in the Activity; and I HEREBY release and forever discharge FLORIDA BOAT RENTALS, located at 41 Royal Palm Pointe, Vero Beach, Florida 32960, their affiliates, managers, members, agents, attorneys, staff, volunteers, heirs, representatives, predecessors, successors, and assigns (collectively "Releasees"), from any physical or psychological injury that I and my passengers may suffer as a direct result of our participation in the aforementioned Activity. I AND MY PASSENGERS VOLUNTARILY PARTICIPATE IN THE AFOREMENTIONED ACTIVITY AND WE ARE PARTICIPATING IN THE ACTIVITY ENTIRELY AT OUR OWN RISK. WE ARE AWARE OF THE RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH PARTICIPATING IN THIS ACTIVITY, WHICH MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: PHYSICAL OR PSYCHOLOGICAL INJURY, PAIN, SUFFERING, ILLNESS, DISFIGUREMENT, TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT DISABILITY (INCLUDING PARALYSIS), ECONOMIC OR EMOTIONAL LOSS, AND DEATH. I UNDERSTAND THAT THESE INJURIES OR OUTCOMES MAY ARISE FROM MY OWN OR OTHERS' NEGLIGENCE, CONDITIONS RELATED TO TRAVEL TO AND FROM THE ACTIVITY, OR FROM CONDITIONS AT THE ACTIVITY LOCATION(S). NONETHELESS, WE ASSUME ALL RELATED RISKS, BOTH KNOWN AND UNKNOWN TO US, OF OUR PARTICIPATION IN THIS ACTIVITY. WE FURTHER AGREE to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Releasees against any and all claims, suits, or actions of any kind whatsoever for liability, damages, compensation, or otherwise brought by me or anyone on my behalf, including attorney's fees and any related costs. WE FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE that Releasees are not responsible for errors, omissions, acts, or failures to act of any party or entity conducting a specific event or activity on behalf of Releasees. If we should require medical care or treatment, we authorize Florida Boat Rentals to provide all emergency medical care deemed necessary, including but not limited to, first aid, CPR, the use of AEDs, emergency medical transport, and sharing of medical information with medical personnel. We further agree to assume all costs involved and agree to be financially responsible for any costs incurred as a result of such treatment. We are aware and understand that we should carry our health insurance. WE FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE that this Activity may involve a test of a person's physical and mental limits and may carry with it the potential for death, serious injury, and property loss. We agree not to participate in the Activity unless we are medically able and properly trained, and we agree to abide by the decision of the Florida Boat Rentals official or agent, regarding our approval to participate in the Activity. WE HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT WE HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS "WAIVER AND RELEASE" AND FULLY UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY. WE EXPRESSLY AGREE TO RELEASE AND DISCHARGE FLORIDA BOAT RENTALS AND ALL OF ITS AFFILIATES, MANAGERS, MEMBERS, AGENTS, ATTORNEYS, STAFF, VOLUNTEERS, HEIRS, REPRESENTATIVES, PREDECESSORS, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS, FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS OR CAUSES OF ACTION AND WE AGREE TO VOLUNTARILY GIVE UP OR WAIVE ANY RIGHT THAT WE OTHERWISE HAVE TO BRING A LEGAL ACTION AGAINST FLORIDA BOAT RENTALS FOR PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE. To the extent that statute or case law does not prohibit releases for ordinary negligence, this release is also for such negligence on the part of Florida Boat Rentals, its agents, and employees. We agree that this Release shall be governed for all purposes by Florida law, without regard to any conflict of law principles. This Release supersedes any and all previous oral or written promises or other agreements. In the event that any damage to equipment or facilities occurs as a result of my or my family's or my agent's willful actions, neglect or recklessness, We acknowledge and agree to be held liable for any and all costs associated with any such actions of neglect or recklessness. THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY SHALL REMAIN IN EFFECT FOR THE DURATION OF OUR PARTICIPATION IN THE ACTIVITY, DURING THIS INITIAL AND ALL SUBSEQUENT EVENTS OF PARTICIPATION. THIS AGREEMENT was entered into at arm's-length, without duress or coercion, and is to be interpreted as an agreement between two parties of equal bargaining strength. Both Participants and Florida Boat Rentals agree that this agreement is clear and unambiguous as to its terms, and that no other evidence shall be used or admitted to alter or explain the terms of this agreement, but that it will be interpreted based on the language in accordance with the purposes for which it is entered into. In the event that any provision contained within this Release of Liability shall be deemed to be severable or invalid, or if any term, condition, phrase, or portion of this agreement shall be determined to be unlawful or otherwise unenforceable, the remainder of this agreement shall remain in full force and effect. If a court should find that any provision of this agreement to be invalid or unenforceable, but that by limiting said provision it would become valid and enforceable, then said provision shall be deemed to be written, construed, and enforced as so limited. I, THE UNDERSIGNED PARTICIPANT, AFFIRM THAT I AM OF THE AGE OF 21 YEARS OR OLDER AND THAT I AM FREELY SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT. I CERTIFY THAT I HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT, THAT I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENT, AND THAT THIS RELEASE CANNOT BE MODIFIED ORALLY. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT FOR ME AND MY PASSENGERS AND THAT I AM SIGNING IT OF MY OWN FREE WILL.
  • Minimum age to rent a boat at Florida Boat Rentals?
    Driver’s must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license and major credit card. Please make sure to bring your driver’s license, major credit card and boaters safety card.
  • Do I need a Boaters Safety Card / Boating License?
    Drivers born in 1988 or after must present a Florida Boaters Safety Card or other state equivalents. If you do not have a Boaters Safety Card, you can take a temporary Boating Safety course online: Online Boating Safety Course
  • Dogs allowed?
    Yes, you can bring your dog. We ask you to keep the dog off the seats, as their nails can be sharp and damage the upholstery. Severe damage to the upholstery caused by the dog needs repairing. The cost will be at the dog's owner's expense.
  • Do I need boating experience?
    We require basic knowledge of small boat operation and use. Florida Boat Rentals staff has the right to refuse the Rental when they do not feel confident and unsafe with the boating experience shown by the designated captain of the Rental.
  • Who needs to sign the waiver / rental agreement?
    Each passenger in the party, including kids and babies, must complete a waiver and rental agreement before starting the Boat Rental. (adults sign for minors) Unfortunately, we can not allow passengers who have not signed the required documents on the rented boat.
  • Can I tow anything behind the boat?
    No tubing, wakeboarding, water skiing, towing, or wake surfing behind the pontoon boat.
  • What is included in the price?
    All our pricing includes Gas and Tax! We do not charge extra for gas when you return the boat. We are transparent in our pricing and very flexible regarding fees for damage or being late. We kindly ask you to tell us when something was damaged or if you're late, so we can handle it accordingly and ensure that the following customers can enjoy their rental without any issues. In case of neglect or recklessness, we have the following rules for possible additional fees: Charterer will pay for all damages to and losses of rental watercraft and/or equipment during the term of this lease agreement. Smoking and Fires on the boat are not permitted. This includes grilling or cooking. Burns cannot be fixed; replacement of the seat may be needed and could cost up to $500. If the boat is returned after the agreed return time, a fee of $25.00 for every 15 minutes will apply unless other arrangements are made. Please keep the boat clean and free of garbage and debris. DO NOT throw any trash overboard and into the water. If the boat is returned excessively dirty or sandy, there will be a $25 cleaning fee.
  • Where / How far can I take the pontoon boat?
    Pontoon Boats cruise only on the Indian River Lagoon and cannot cruise further north of the Sebastian Inlet and South of the Fort Pierce Inlet. Pontoon Boats can not go on the Ocean.
  • Can I take the boat out on the Ocean?
    No, our pontoon boats are not built for the ocean. Taking a pontoon boat on the ocean can be very dangerous.
  • Do I need to print and bring the signed waivers?
    No, we work with an online waiver program. Once you've e-signed the waiver, it will automatically save to this online program. So printing the signed papers is unnecessary.
  • Do we need life jackets?
    Life Jackets are required. You can find One life vest (PFD) per person (minimum) and one throwable PFD in the boat's seats. By Florida State Law, Children 8 years old and under must wear PFD at all times. You are responsible for having the equipment for children on board before you begin your Rental. Florida Boat Rentals does have life vests for kids 2 years and older at no additional cost. Please request this equipment at check-in.
